When you’ve just birthed a baby in your own home in Southeast DC while two other little ones squirrel around and you are adjusting to this new wild life with three kids, it seems completely counterintuitive to let someone come in and take pictures. And while Steve and I have known Jules and Alex for a while it was still such a gift to spend time with them in their home in Northeast DC just days after their son was born. They opened their home and their life to me and allowed a glimpse into these exhausting, beautiful, miraculous first days as a family of five.
