The 5 Best Wedding Venues In Baltimore

A handpicked guide of venues we love in baltimore, maryland from a photographer’s perspective

Baltimore is full of so many amazing wedding venues. We wanted to share a few of our favorite venues, and to provide the perspective of a photographer when considering wedding venues in Baltimore.

1. The Winslow

Why we love it as a photographer

The Winslow has stunning natural light to mix perfectly with it's incredible industrial vibe! The Winslow Room has light pouring in from the roof and from higher up on the walls to provide a flattering natural light experience for wedding receptions while the sun is out. The train shed has floor-to-ceiling windows that provide great light for ceremonies and a modern look. We absolutely love all of the exposed brick walls, concrete floors, and the character of every little nook of the space. It's also easy to sneak up on to the rooftop for sunset photos with the downtown skyline, or walk around the building for some great portrait locations. This means we can photograph great portraits without needing to take much time away from you being wit your guests and loved ones.

There are very few venues, or rooms in Baltimore or anywhere that have the magnificence and wow-factor of the George Peabody Library. The ceremony and the reception space looks incredible to photograph with its 7-story room of wrap-around book shelves, marble floors, and a rooftop skylight that lets in natural light. Located in the Mt. Vernon neighborhood of downtown Baltimore, it's easy to walk nearby for some great city portrait backdrops.

3. Baltimore Museum of Industry

Why we love it as a photographer

The Baltimore Museum of Industry provides such a unique experience. It's right on the water with quintessential Baltimore backdrops such as the downtown skyline, the Domino Sugar sign, and even the oldest operating tugboat in the United States. The interior of the museum is such a fun setting for guests to be seated at the reception in the middle of the Decker Gallery that highlights the history of Baltimore workers and its many innovations while overlooking the Inner Harbor.

Why we love it as a photographer

Wedding venues aside, the Sagamore Pendry might be our favorite hotel on the East Coast. We love everything about the luxurious setting built on Recreation Pier and all of its aesthetics, while being in the Fells Point neighborhood with fantastic food, shopping and live music. The Sagamore Ballroom is a restored 1914 gorgeous reception space with vaulted windows and a skylight for amazing natural light. The open-air courtyard with all of its modern flare is stunning for ceremonies. We also love that you can go up on the rooftop pool deck for waterfront views and portraits overlooking the harbor.
