What does it feel like to physically see the love you’re going to receive for the rest of your life? When all the months of long planning and imagining are gone, there’s nothing left but the real moments that actually take place on a wedding day. The real moments tell a different story than the rehearsed scenarios we train ourselves to dream about.
On the hottest afternoon of the hottest summer in decades Kate and Robbie came together in a little farm house library. Alone, and before the events of the day took off in a full speed blur, a groom opens a door and sees his bride standing there. A first look. A first realization of just how important this day really is. A joyful excitement as he circles her and slowly examines every beautiful detail of his bride with gracious eyes.
There’s so much calming peace when you get a chance to look into truly gracious eyes. That’s how I felt around Kate and Robbie on the day they committed their life to each other. Surrounded by such joyous family and friendship, this was another day we were so privileged to be part of. Here’s one more marriage that the world should be more than excited for.
Beautiful story, couple, amazing details and great captures. Well done! As for Bernadette – I remember photographing weddings the summer 3 years ago. It’s hard to forget the pain photographing a wedding 37 weeks pregnant!
